Two questions sort most slow-NBN cases. First: is the slowdown worst between 7pm and 11pm? A busy-hour drop points to congestion on your plan tier — check your ACCC typical evening speed and, if you are consistently below it, that is grounds to raise it with your provider. Second: is it slow on every device and over a wired connection too? If a wired test is fast but Wi-Fi is slow, the problem is in your home, not the NBN.
